Strike in Ahmedabad Circle on 17.10.2013  was Total and Successful. We are overwhelmed by the reports that all branches - with the exception of  three- have come to a standstill...


as the enthusiastic and ever militant soldiers of our organisations , demonstrated their will, determination and fighting capacity through responding to the call of our Joint Action Committee for observanceof ONE DAY STRIKE in the branches covered under Ahmedabad Circle office. In the states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, UCO Bank branches numbering 239 have come to a standstill due to today's Strike. We place on record our deep sense of appreciation to all our rank and file who have befittingly manifested their anguish and resentment over the anti workforce approach and attitude of the Top Management responding to the call of STRIKE, mindless of sacrifices involved. We SALUTE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM.
Reports from various centre’s in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are overwhelming. Rally and Demonstrations were held in Surat, RAJKOT, Baroda, Ahmedabad ( in Gujarat) Bhopal ,Indore ,and Gwalior (in MP). Huge number of employees and officers and Employees from all other Banks participated in the Rally and Demonstrations. Leaders from the respective state Federations addressed and greeted the gathering. Today's Programme in Ahmedabad circle is yet another befitting Response to the call of the Joint Action Committee. AIBEA and AIBOC, our National organisations have jointly come out with a circular in support of our Struggle. At their call, Several Bank wise unions, State Federations of both Workmen and Officers have sent a memorandum to the CMD of UCO Bank expressing solidarity with our Struggle and urging upon the CMD to resolve the issues amicably through discussions with a sense of bilateral spirit. The Joint Action Committee expresses its grateful thanks to the Leadership of AIBEA AND AIBOC.
JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE PLACES ON RECORD ITS DEEP SENSE OF APPRECIATION TO THE ENTIRE RANK AND FILE FOR MAKING THE SECOND PHASE OF THE STRIKE CALLS A OVERWHELMING SUCCESS. WE ALSO THANK ALL THE BANKWISE UNIONS / ASSOCIATIONS, STATE FEDERATIONS, THEIR LEADERS AND MEMBERS FOR EXTENDING SPIRITED SUPPORT TO OUR STRUGGLE. JOINT ACTION COMMITTEE ALSO EXPRESSES ITS CONFIDENCE THAT THE MANAGEMENT OF UCO BANK WOULD HAVE REALISED THE SENTIMENTS OF THE EMPLOYEES AND OFFICERS AND COME FORWARD TO ADDRESS THEIR CONCERNS AND SETTLE OUR REASONABLE DEMANDS IF THEY REALLY MEAN WHAT THEY HAVE CONVEYED THROUGH THEIR COMMUNICATION ON 7th October. In the mean while, Comrades, let us prepare ourselves for the next
phase of the Struggle.STRIKE IN MUMBAI CIRCLE ON 24th October.  October and Joint Action Committee will meet at Delhi on 29th decide further course of actions if any required, besides preparing the rest of the units for the successful observance of Strike in other circles.
